Maxim Kids will celebrate its second year of existence by hosting “Rumble Night”, its first professional boxing event on 4 August 2017.
The aim of the event is to create a platform to showcase amateur fighters who have now turned professional after moving through the training and developmental progammes of Maxim Kids, allowing them greater exposure to professional opportunities and sponsorship, which in turn will allow these fighters to pursue a full – time profession in boxing.
According to Allen Chizungu, Chairperson and head coach of Maxim Kids, sponsorship is critical to the development of young boxing hopefuls because it allows them to earn a living through the skills these fighters have attained through boxing, permitting them to fully focus on attaining their goal of becoming professional athletes.
This exhibition of young, up and coming boxers will be held at 14 Hope Street in Cape Town and will feature as its main event, the much anticipated fight between Banele Tuswa and Didieu Nyembwe Doors open 6 pm with the first fight commencing at 7pm.
To enquire about sponsorship opportunities or to purchase a ticket, priced between 150 rand to 200 rand, please contact Allen Chizungu on 079 454 8928, tickets for Rumble Night will also be sold at the door on the night of the event.
